This notice explains how Short Hills Finance ("we", "us") handles information on this marketing website (Short Hills Finance.com) and the cookies we use. If you start an application, the application portal handles your information under the terms and disclosures presented to you there; this notice covers the marketing site.
Information we collect on this site
This marketing site is not our system of record. Browsing it does not require you to give us personal information. We may receive:
- Basic technical data that any website receives — such as your browser type, approximate region, and the pages you view — used to keep the site secure and working.
- Marketing attribution parameters (for example
utm_sourceor a campaign click identifier) if you arrive from a campaign link. These are carried in the web address and forwarded to our application portal so we can understand which channels bring merchants to us. They are held only for your current browsing session and are not written to a cookie. We never forward other query parameters, so personal data is not smuggled across this step.
If and when you choose to apply, the information you provide in the application (such as business and bank details) is collected and protected under the disclosures shown in that flow.
Cookies & similar technologies
We take a default-deny approach. When you first visit, non-essential cookies and any analytics or advertising storage are off until you choose to accept them in the consent banner. Until you make a choice, our analytics posture is set to "denied," so measurement tags cannot store data on your device.
The only cookie we set before you choose is a single strictly-necessary one:
shf_consent— records whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so we can honour your choice on future visits. It stores only the valuegrantedordenied, is first-party, and expires after about 180 days. This cookie is essential to respect your decision and is not used to track you.
If you accept, we may then enable analytics and marketing-measurement cookies to understand how the site is used and how our campaigns perform. If you decline, those cookies are not set. No analytics or advertising cookies are written on this site unless and until you accept.
Your choices
- Change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie preferences link in the site footer to reopen the banner and accept or decline again.
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site's essential functions will still work; some measurement will not.
